This is for everyone who likes one of them. Or both. For everyone who's excited about the upcoming movie. For those who read the books and for those who didn't.

Also? Be kind enough to pimp, please?

Thank you, enjoy and have fun! =D

I'll play....

Name: [livejournal.com profile] agilebrit
Age: ...over 40
Location: Utah!
Robert or Jude? Holmes or Watson?: Robert, I mean, have you seen my LJ? I like Jude too, though; loved him in AI and Sky Captain. And both Holmes and Watson. Separating them would be like separating peanut butter from jelly--they're okay, by themselves, but together they complete each other.
Slash? RPS?: not my cuppa, but I don't care if you're into them.
Other fandoms: Oh, good Lord. House, Chuck, Castle, Iron Man, anything Joss Whedon, anything RDJ, Burn Notice, True Blood, The Mentalist. I read and write SF/F and love Terry Pratchett, Naomi Novik, Jim Butcher, Rob Thurman, and Carrie Vaughn, among many many others. Urban fantasy is my current genre of choice.
What do you do on LJ?: "Wherein I whine about writing. A lot." Lately it's whining about the latest novel project, although the deadline for Writers of the Future is coming quick,so I'm going to have to take a break from the novel and work on the short story. Some fannish squee, RL stuff, and the occasional rant. Also, political conservatism lurketh there, although those posts are generally locked and filtered because I don't want to hear it.
Anything else?: Nope.

Okay, having a bit of a "squee" over your favorite authors. PRATCHETT, BUTCHER, and THURMAN (reading Trick of the Light right now in fact)!

I found out that Thurman writes urban fantasy with male protags and then mainlined the Cal Leandros books after finding out the first one was awesome. I mean, I love female-centered UF too, but I was getting overwhelmed and a little variety is nice, you know? And I think I can learn things about writing by reading her stuff. "Trick of the Light" is next on the list.

I am desperately waiting for the next Cal Leandros book!
Those books just went boom, boom, boom! I just devoured them.

"Trick of the Light" is great so far. I'm looking forward to more about these characters as well. :)
